FORMAT C: fdisk?

Did format c on IBM Aptiva,Trying to load win 98 se,pc does not respond with boot disk,no cd rom,Loaded win 98se start up disk and it says "drive C does not contain a valid FAT or FAT32 partition. What should I do? It says I may need to run FDISK, How would I go about doing that?

You will have fdisk on the 98 boot disk. Read this to find more info about how to run it. Some info and screenshots.

Thanks Leurgy,I tried to run FDISK.It came up with "No fixed disks present"
