hello

i have mcafee security center installed in my pc.

version: 7.2
build: 7.2.147

the protection status has a problem. it says "am i protected? no. part of your protection must be fixed. click fix now."
the computer and files have a problem. but when i click fix to fix the problem, it just sort of loads but it does nothing.

it's like it's not updating or something.

can anyone help?

thanks!

I had used McAfee for a number of years on my home pc but I found it got too "glitchy". I dunno. It would tell me that the Realtime Protection was disabled when everything appeared to be fine. When I had problems I found the best way was to uninstall McAfee, reboot, then reinstall the program.

Hi nixx -- I am a past user of Mcafee (virusscan Plus) but had a few problems with it so in the end I uninstalled it for another product -- dont get me wrong it's an excellent product when it's running ok but it's all those little glitches that the software has [ie] the red M in the system tray turning black (virusscan disabled) etc -- and their support page isn't very user friendly -- but i did find help in the mcafee forum -- you will find it here:-

see if they can help you out

all the best
