BleepingComputer.com: Headphones Work As A Microphone

I know some of you probably know headphones work as a microphone. I just learned this and I think its neat.

If you did not know give it a try. Plug in like your mp3 earbuds or try other headphones and get it close to your mouth and record through a audio recording program. It works descently, not as good as a real mic in quality or volume but it would work in case you forgot your mic and needed to have one.

how come mine doesn't work? i'm using a cellphone's earpluds

It seems to work best with small earbud type of headphones. Larger ones are more distorted...But earbuds work well...
