okay-

So I have an old computer, that currently has DOS on it. I dont know the specs of the computer itself, how much ram, how much hard drive space, etc.

Im looking to put linux on it.

What should I start with?

start with founding out the specs. This will determine what you can use.
If someone tells you to su rm -rf /

Take a look at Puppy Linux, Damn Small Linux, and Fluxbuntu.
