racingfan;as I tried to explain to you and as Jgweed reiterates , it is probably not YOUR computer that is infected but that of one of your contacts; one often does not know ABOUT the presence OF an infection till things start to go wrong ;

with stuff like viagra getting involved ,I think it amost certain your email addy has gotten corrupted by passing through an infected comp somewhere but maybe your correspondents do not regularly check their computers nor have appropriate protection?

I suggest you need to ask those with whom you ARE in contact when they last screened their computers for infections and with what programs?Are any of your contact running with no protection at all; (I know of at least two people ( not on this forum ) who run completely unprotected ; their 'practise' is to reformat and reinstall EVERYTHING at least monthly; what infections they have 'spread' in the meantime is anyone's guess :flowers: )

has anyone opened an email they were not expecting and what did THEY do with it?

your contacts may even for instance ,use MSN or Windows messenger ? :thumbsup:

which addresses you use for what is up to you but try to keep one if not two completely 'clean' :trumpet:

jgweed, Thaks for a good explaination and your opinion. I understand what you're saying. And I'll have a go again at the filter options maybe I missed something. Thanks very much for the help!

ruby1, I get what you're saying. I have alot of contacts associated with that email address, I will send them all an email and ask them to scan their machines. But it doesn't mean that they will. Even if I set up a new email address and send them or even just some of them the new address, this can happen again if one of their machines gets infected. Would you agree?
That's why I was trying to figure out how to block the emails. This is why I started this topic.
I appreciate your input and help very much, Thank you!! :thumbsup:
