I fitted a new HD to my wife's computer and reinstalled ME from new. It's a basic 750mhz desktop with an NEC LCD 1530v monitor. The spec says the graphics adaptor is a S3 Savage4. I have downloaded current drivers for the monitor and the VGA device, but ME will not accept anything I throw at it.
All I get is the standard windows 16 colour plug-play driver
Has anyone else had this sort of problem that can help?

If Windows isn't detecting the card (which it should do even before the drivers are installed) then it's possible it's just 'died' and you require a new one.

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of support for ME at the S3 site. On this page there is a likely looking one third from the top.
