I have a Vista computer and when I download, install, then run a game, it can't connect to the file server and patch.
I have a router but i am not using wireless internet, am directly connected through the wire.

Things I have done to try to resolve this issue:
1. Turn off firewalls
2. DEP thingy
3. Msconfig selective startup>load system services (only)

Is there anything else ?

What game is it or is it a few games? It probably a vista problem or something with your router.
