When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

I hope after reading this, you would be able to direct me to the right forum. Thanks in Advance.

For some reason, I am unable to get into windows.

When it starts up, it takes me to the login screen but when I login, it tells me its loading the settings and that's it. Nothing else happens. Just my green WINXP wallpaper is visible.

I went into safe mode and after logging in, all I got was the black screen with safe mode in each corner of the screen.

I then accessed my task bar. Initiated new task, trying to access files. I was able to access my files using the new task option but thats it. I ran several of my cleaners and as a result, winlogon.exe was put into quarantine. I tried loggin on again and still didnt work.

Its like...something is keeping me from accessing windows.

Was the winlogon.exe file that was put into quarantine in the C:\Windows\System32 folder? Because I understand that this file is required by Windows and that may be why your system won't boot. Try running the System File Checker (sfc), which will hopefully replace the file.
