Forum Rules

When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

If you have not received help after three days, please post a link to your topic HERE.

A post on May13 06 seemed to indicate a similar problem with a different malware program. I am getting continual system alerts - and then I click on it and it takes me to a page trying to sell me a program I do not need. In addition - the program wiped out my IE6 home page and now it goes directly to its site. I used AVG Anti Spyware - but it still comes up. They are trying to sell me Virus Protect Pro (VirusProtectPro.com). Can you help me get rid of this nonsense?

Follow the instructions in the link below to remove Virus Protect Pro.

VPP is more often than not accompanied by other malware. Follow the instructions below to find and remove.

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

Run the online scan for Bit Defender in normal mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.
