R51e Ubuntu Wifi I need help

Okay, my HDD got erased recently somehow, and I decided to dual boot Ubuntu 7.04 and WinXP Home SP2. Anyway, I can't get the wifi to work under Ubuntu.

I have a ThinkPad R51e with Ubuntu 7.04 "the Feisty Fawn" and I can't get the wifi to work, as I said before.

I think I have the IBM 11b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Adapter. It detects the network, but I can't log in to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, the LED doesn't light up.

Ubuntu WiFi Docs. Run the command at the top of the page and figure out which one you have. Its not an IBM.

Bring up synbaptic. Type in NDISwrapper. Start from there.

It may appear that I am being a smart allek. I'm not. You should read the distros notes, and at least scan the distros forums for answers befor asking help. Many times, the answer is all ready right in front of you.

Okay, a simple system update took care of the logging in issue, but I'm still having issues with the LED does the NDIS Wrapper fix this?.

I typed in the

lspci -v | less

command from the WifiDocs page and I got this:

This looks pretty simple, but I'm not good with hardware, and I don't really know what this stuff means.

Is this "unknown device" my wifi card?
