Cd Copying Problem

HI,
I bought a CD today which hs some audio tracks.I want to copy these tracks on CD to my hard disk.But, the icons I see when I explore the CD are just shortcuts to the tracks (size 44 bytes each).If I try copying, only the shortcuts get copied.How can I copy the actual audio files?
Please help.

To get the tracks to your harddrive you'll have to rip them, not copy them.
You'll find several ripping programs in our Freeware Replacements For Common Commercial Apps topic, under the CD & DVD Applications heading.
