Forum Rules

When posting your problem, do not run and post a ComboFix log. ComboFix is a tool that should only be run under the supervision of someone who has been trained in its use. Using it on your own can cause problems with your computer. Any posts containing CF Logs will be ignored.

To receive help, you should instead provide a detailed description of your problem, detailed word-for-word error messages that you are receiving, screenshots of strange behaviour, and your operating system. This information is much more useful to our helpers than a ComboFix log.

Smitfraud! how do i delete!???!?!

Ok, so i have tried many ways of getting rid of the Smitfraud-C.CoreService problem and none have helped. I would liek to start from scratch in my attempts, so any help would be very apreciated. I have Hijack installed and i am trying to not install anything else.

This infection is a rootkit found with certain smitfraud infections.

Open the SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services or Registry Entries found then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts, the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt.
  • Copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt in your next reply.
Note: If this error message is displayed when running SDFix:
The command prompt has been disabled by your administrator.
Press any key to continue...
Please go to Start Menu > Run > and type (copy/paste) the following line:
%systemdrive%\SDFix\apps\swreg IMPORT %systemdrive%\SDFix\apps\Enable_Command_Prompt.reg
Press OK and then run SDFix again.

When done, download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware Free for Home Users.
