Interestingly enough it seems as if someone else did the exact same thing recently...
anyway, i accidently removed something (i have no idea what) in add and remove programs and no my sound is not working. When i try to start iTunes (or some other similar media player) it says something like-
"iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly."
i dont know what to install... i tried reinstalling the drivers off the internet for my mother board (because the sound is onboard sound) and that didnt work. If anyone has any suggestions i would be very very very happy to hear from them.
Let me know what you need to know about my computer.
ps. i tried this already-
Set windows to show hidden files,
How to see hidden files in Windows
Then navigate to:
C:\ Windows \ System32 \ dllcache
Locate sndvol32.exe
Right click it, and select Copy.
Navigate to C:\ Windows \ System32
In an open area, right click and select Paste
