Important Announcement: We have two terrific contests running on the site that I wanted all our members and guests to know about.

The first contest is the HP Magic Giveaway, which is underway as of November 28th. More information can be found at this topic, which will be updated very soon with further information.

The second contests, is for the chance to win two Seagate FreeAgent external hard drives. More information about this contest can be found here.

These are both amazing contests and I suggest everyone submit an entry for them.

Mod edit: Moved from the HijackThis Logs forum--PK

How much are us guys saving by asking you for help as opposed to sending our computers away to the overpriced merchants?

What is your work worth basically.

Love you guys for being patient with people and espically helping over the internet takes alot longer imo.
Reason for edit: Noting move

Most computer repair shops charge 75 to 95 dollars per hour, a "crud" removal can take 3 to 6 hours.

Some will charge a minimum of US 50 dollars. Often, though, the work is somewhat slipshod, or they will simply run a few of the obvious AV and AS applications, or take the quick way out and reinstall your operating system.

John

Yeah i bet some earn alot more than they should be for it, sneaky bleepers.

I prefer the aquire new skills method, don't like not understanding something.

Curiosity killed the cat though hah

So hopefully one day i'll be the one helping others rather than you guys helping me!
