I started a new computer with Vista a few days ago. I have noticed that Vista keeps forgetting my sound driver. if I reinstall and restart I get sound but if I shutdown completely Vista won't load the driver at startup. Instead I get the generic audio device driver that won't give me any sound. I'm just using the onboard sound on my board. How can I fix this so my driver loads every time.

I'd suspect that your sound driver isn't Vista compatible. I'd suggest going to the manufacturer of your sound card and downloading a Vista compatible driver for it to cure this problem.

The driver is straight from Asus. It is supposed to be for Vista 32-bit.
