Does anyone know how to set the default shutdown option to restart?

All the setting have only Sleep or Shutdown, I never want my computer to sleep and there is the power button to turn it off.

Are you saying that there's no Sleep option in the Shutdown button on the Start menu?

I recall that we addressed this issue recently (it was about hibernation)...just a sec, let me check....

I'm back!

FWIW - while the fix "fixed" my system - it's reverted back to the way it was before the fix. So I suspect that there's a program on my system that is preventing it from staying permanently. So, try the fix and see if it helps you - if not we'll suggest other fixes.

Thanks for the reply.

I want to be able to do this:

Click Start menu, click Shut Down, click Ok and my computer will restart.

At the moment if I follow that process it will sleep because sleep is the default selection on the Shut Down screen. I want to change the default option from sleep to restart.
