I have just purchased a ViewSonic 19inch LCD Monitor.

The recommended Resolution setting is 1440 x 900.

In my Display function however, I only have three options. ie 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, and 1152 x 864.

Can anyone advise if there is any way of adjusting it. ???

Thanks

Hi fozzer, first have you installed the monitor drivers? If so your video card might not support 1440x900 I have a Nvidia 7900GT and it wont go that high.

Thanks for your interest.

I think that I need to re-run the Disc that came with the Monitor.

The User Guide keeps referring to the "Graphic Card User Guide" which I cannot see in the On screen
Display.

Also when loading my Computer, there is a message in the toop right hand corner which says loading in Analogue. As it is LCD, should it be Digital ??

Did you conect the monitor with a digital cable? If not it will be in analogue.

I have checked out with the Makers Customer Info, and it appears that my Graphics card does not support the recommended Resolution setting .

I do however have a good visual quality with what I have got.

With regard to the Digital question, the cables supplied with the product are for Analogue. I am now aware that to change to Digital, that I have to get a DVI cable.

I am not too sure whether to bother, as the improvement may not be all great ??
