Please help remove spyware

Since yesterday I have had an univited toolbar from allaboutsearch. I have been invaded by popups about, ironically enough, firewalls and hijack preveters....many are from look2me.com or adserv....I have run spybot, adaware, cws shredder, a trojan remover, blasterworm, sasserworm fixes, etc. Some relief here...however not everything is gone...and once I restart the computer they may be back.....I had Vitrual bouncer spontaneously installed yesterday...which I refused to let clean my compuetr...and I was able to uninstall it immediately...
I would like someone to take a look at my Hijack this log and let me know what garbage is left and how to delete it...

Step 1:

Click on start, settings, control panel and double-click on add/remove programs. From with add/remove program uninstall the following if they exist:

Window Search
Win Tools

When uninstalling you wil prompted to insert a security code. Please do so and reboot when done.

If you do not see thsee two programs in your Add/Remove programs then download and run both of these uninstallers:

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.

New HiJack This log below....
Ran into a few problems trying to delete everything...
Could not find most of the items you wanted checked in HiJack this.
Could not find files:
c:\windows\rape-movies[1].exe
C:Program Files\Common files\Win Tools\ (I was able to delete Win tolls in step 1)

the rape-moves thing was around the last time I was Hijacked (March) and noone could get rid of it then despite many attempts....perhaps you will be successful..

i still have pop-ups...I don't have a true hijacking of my webage anymore...just popups overlaying it....some are scary since they "appear" to be from my computer telling me to "remove unwanted parasite"...but a closer look reveals it is a pop-up.

Sign off and stay off the internet until the entire procedure is complete.

Open VX2Finder and click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button.

Then select the *Delete these files* button.
You will be left with notice about one to be deleted on reboot.
It will ask to reboot on deletion of the last file (Reboot)

Once back in Windows

Open VX2Finder again and click on these buttons in the right pane:

user agent, Guardian.reg, restore policy

Exit and reboot.

Run Vx2Finder once more and click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button. Then click *make log*.
Post it here with a fresh HijackThis log please.

Ok..I had problems doing this.....I unplugged from internet (cable modem)...clicked delte these files...rebooted.

Opend VX2 again....ONLY Restore policy button functional....clicked on it
rebooted.

On reboot got error message "The system has recovered from a serious error." PLease send error report....this window popped up over and over and over...eroor report said Online Crash Analysis...most likely caused by Hewlitt Packard Driver Printer.....HP is aware of and working on fix"

Window kept popping up...I was trying to post here and keyboard would not work....so rebooted again....error message gone...keyboard ok....

When I went to make this new lob on VX2..when I clicked "click to find better...." those 2 buttons became enabled....I clicked on them but they asked if I want to delete stuff so I said NO....Do you want me to go back in and click them....The log must be created before I can click on them.

You need to do this:

Sign off and stay off the internet until the entire procedure is complete.

Open VX2Finder and click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button.

Then select the *Delete these files* button.
You will be left with notice about one to be deleted on reboot.
It will ask to reboot on deletion of the last file (Reboot)

Once back in Windows

Open VX2Finder again and click on these buttons in the right pane:

user agent, Guardian.reg, restore policy

Exit and reboot.

Run Vx2Finder once more and click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button. Then click *make log*.
Post it here with a fresh HijackThis log please.

It still shows you are infected. You click on the delete all files. The rebooted and when black and deleted the last one plus clicked on user agent, Guardian.reg, restore policy?

I did not go back and delete aafter reboot...I though it deleted itself on reboot...I will do and repost

Oh..one more question...I have been following your directions EXACTLY and perhaps this seems silly BUT...in VX2 when I go to select the "Delete these files" button I noticed that there are boxes next to all the files in the window next to it (like Hijack this)...was it impled i should CHECK all the boxes? I didn't because your directions just said to click the button...what's right?

I am sorry . I am so glad you picked up on this. I will fix my directions in the future for this so it does not happen again. Yes please put checks in all of them
