*Computer is 10-11 years old (Yes I did take care of the dust)

*Started to play a game and it crashed, and it has been giving me these errors ever since

*Please tell me anything that you may want to know and what I must install to get you this information to help me

*I am in safemode, sometimes I can get on the regular version but most of the time I crash and the computer restarts!

Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump folder. Do you see any dmp logs from the folder?  If yes, then read the instruction of the second paragraph below. If not, configure small memory dump debugging information under startup and recovery.

> Right-click My Computer and choose Properties.
> Go to Advanced System Settings - Advance Tab.
> Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings...
> Look for 'write debugging information' and use Kernel memory dump
> Checkmark overwrite any existing file

If there are latest created minidumps under C:\Windows\Minidump folder, please post the latest dmp logs (atleast 5) by :
> Highlight (holding ctrl key) and choosing the dmp logs by hitting enter or left mouse click.
> Right-click and choose send to desktop.
> When on desktop, highlight all dmp logs and right-click and send to compressed zipped folder.
> Upload and share the link by registering here https://www.box.com/
* minidumps log sample 010613 - 16676 -01.dmp -> 01 is for month - 06 for day - 13 is for year.

Try downloading Speccy and then install the program.  To post and publish a snapshot of your PC.
. In the Menu bar, click File -> Publish Snapshot
. Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard
. On your next reply, right-click on a empty space and click Paste on reply box then click Post.

Download MiniToolBox and run the program. Select
List Last 10 Event Viewers, List Installed Programs and List Users, Partitions and Memory Size then click Go.
A notepad will open then copy-paste the report on your next reply.

Hi -

The 5 dumps are old:

Mini042012-01.dmp	141472	04/20/2012	04:10:14	A
Mini112112-01.dmp	141472	11/21/2012	09:27:50	A
Mini122212-01.dmp	141472	12/22/2012	10:59:26	A
Mini041513-01.dmp	141472	04/15/2013	18:20:22	A
Mini060713-01.dmp	226264	06/07/2013	07:03:08	A

Ironically, the last one from 7 June 2013 does have a bugcheck named in your thread title -

0x116 = Video TDR timeout; the video driver was unable to reset in the allotted time - usually 30 seconds; could not recover & BSOD ensued

A June 2008 NVIDIA video driver was named as the probable cause.

I ran the 5 dumps to see if any had 0x116 or  0x124  bugchecks & found just the one I mentioned.

What is confusing to me is that all 5 dumps clearly show Vista SP0 (no Service Packs) was the OS installed at the time of the BSODs:

Windows Vista Kernel Version 6000 MP (4 procs) Free x86 compatible
Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS Personal
Built by: 6000.21226.x86fre.vista_ldr.100218-0019

Farbar MiniToolBox shows your current OS = Windows 7 SP1 -

MiniToolBox by Farbar Version: 13-07-2013
Ran by Craig (administrator) on 08-11-2013 at 22:45:45
Running from "E:\Users\Craig\Desktop"
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 (X86)
Boot Mode: Network

Did you upgrade from Vista to Windows 7?

This error needs to be further investigated as Windows 7 appears to be/ has gone "non-Genuine" -

Error: (11/08/2013 10:13:35 PM) (Source: Winlogon) (User: )

Description: Windows license activation failed. Error 0x00000000.

Please validate your Windows 7 SP1 OS - www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate

Bugcheck 0x116 is related to video - could be a driver or hardware

Bugcheck 0x124 = Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA) and is basically a Machine Check Exception.  It is usually 99%+ caused by an (unknown) hardware failure

This Event log error is benign and can be fixed -

Error: (11/08/2013 09:41:10 PM) (Source: WinMgmt) (User: )

Description: //./root/CIMV2SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent
WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance
.LoadPercentage > 99
0x80041003

Vista - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950375

Windows 7 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2545227

I would suggest looking into the licensing issue first.

Regards. . .

Hi! First I have another nVidia and processor, but about the same age.

Second I had the same problem after those win updates appeared and installed on the 8th of Oct.

So I did this: Control Panel-->System and security-->under Action Center: Restore your computer to an earlier time--> Open System Restore--> And it loaded a state before the updates.

Since then I haven't got such a bluescreen. Now I'm looking for the update that I must not install. If anyone know which one is that pls tell me, so I can update the others.

Peace

I would suggest reverting back to Vista OS and provide the complete speccy link(read again the instruction) information. Regarding the high temperature reading on CPU and video card, please try replacing with a compatible dedicated card and or use the onboard gpu if available.

What do you mean with the "please try replacing with a compatible dedicated card and or use the onboard gpu if available." I guess Im not understanding you?

And also like I said if I go to vista it crashes and if I go to safemode I cant use speccy

256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT (ASUStek Computer Inc) 72 °C

This is your video card. A PCI card connected to your motherboard. The bluescreen error points to either a hardware or software problem. Presuming that the motherboard has onboard gpu chip, you can remove the video card and connect the VGA cable to the built-in gpu VGA port to the monitor unless you have another video card available. The high temperature could have damaged your Nvidia card as your CPU is also running the same thermal events (see previous suggestion regarding thermal paste reapplication).

So at this moment I wont be able to get inside my computer, but are suggesting me to get a new video card?

Do you have onboard video? Check the back of your desktop where the video card port connects to your monitor. Do you see another VGA slot? If yes, remove the video card completely and use the onboard instead. Make sure that you touch the side casing to discharge static electricity or use a wrist strap when working on the inside.

Did you see the image for the VGA slot which is available for both an onboard video for the motherboard or the video card installed currently? If there are 2 VGA slots available, then remove the video card and revert to your built-in graphics in order to test the bluescreen problems still exist or not.
