A little window pops up when I use my system Vaio Care.  It keeps saying Exception EOleException in Module SMSystemAnalyzer.exe.  So, my Vaio Care is not really working.  What does this mean and how do I fix this situation.  I even tried uninstalling the Vaio Care and then installing it again, but it has made no difference and still is the same.  Please help me if you know how to solve this.  Thank you.

Do you have System Mechanic installed on this computer?

I am a newcomer to this forum, having  Googled "Exception EOleException in Module SMSystemAnalyzer.exe"  and found this thread.

I too get this error message on my Vaio, after scheduled running of Vaio Care.

I do have System Mechanic installed on my laptop.

Is this an important error message or can I just ignore it?

Grateful for your advice

Kind regards

Docjohn

This topic is a bit old, but I assume you mean Iolo System Mechanic, I would try to remove it.

They claim "Boost your computer's speed, power, and stability with advanced PC tune-up." Etc.Etc.Etc.

I have yet to see any of these things, just program problems -

Most of these programs eventually cause problems in one way or another -

Many thanks for the advice.

I will get rid of it and hopefully the error message as well.

FWIW:  Sony's Vaio Care utility...is the result of a partnership with Iola, see http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/support-info.pl?&info_id=953 .
