I use Windows Proffesional version 2002 Service Pack 3
1.25 GB of RAM
CPU Pentium® 4 2.66 GHz
Video card Nvidia GeForce FX 5200
My system is in Spanish so i try to translate the terms the best i can.
Two days ago i decided to change motherboard, the technician said that a reformat of the C partition was necessary (i have discovered that this might have not been really necesary), also changed Power Supply and replaced Windows XP Service Pack 2 for Service Pack 3. My motherboard is very old along all the parts of my pc and i changed it because four transistors near the processor were swollen, however this didn't mean any inmediate problem because, as i want to clarify, my whole system was better before than now.
The problems i experience now is a slow startup. In the Task Manager i see that all the processes, except the Inactive Process of System, are lacking Name of User. I check the Users tab in Task Manager and there is no user there, my user. The Name of User and the Users appear one by one after a while, but during that time i can't open the Control Panel and it's contents, or run some programs like Skype (they just don't start after i double click, thought the process appears in the task manager, without User), but i can start Firefox or Chrome, i haven't tried other programs. I also experience that my system is slower, even after a reformat.
The steps i have taken to fix this particular problem is: right click on My Pc//Manage//Services and Applications//Services//Services of Terminal Server setting it to an Automatic Start
This hasn't solved the problem.
Some Scheduled Tasks that i cancell seem to come back again.
Another problem i experience after the reformat and MOBO change is quite particular. Before i could watch all videos clearly and with proper audio/video sync (unless this was a problem of the video itself). I could leave it loading for a while in case it was an HD or a long video, but then i would watch it smoothly. However, few days before i brought my pc for the change, i noticed that Firefox version 12 used much CPU resources, making the video stop for a moment while the audio kept going, but then the video would run quickly to sync with the audio.
Now, after the change of MOBO, the videos from youtube (for example) run with a choppy sound, some i pause and the video keeps running, making it go out of sync. On other vide engines like AuEngine that is supposed to be good quality and fast load i experience a severe disruption of sync with the video running for more than a second when i pause. The video is also choppy along the sound. Nonetheless, i can watch some videos without evident problem.
Things that i have tried to solve this issue:
-I have reinstalled the latest Flash Player version
-I have used Chrome, with the same results.
-I noticed the video driver was not updated (if there was any) and i updated it today with the latest version for my type of video card.
I also notice that my connection to such sites worsens tremendously when i start watching a video. With cmd command i see that the ping i get from Youtube is an average of 13 but once i start watching a video it surpasses 800-900 while the load is tedious. If i watch on Firefox, with some videos the firefox.exe process uses big part of CPU load while plugin-container.exe does nothing, with other videos both firefox and plugin-container share the load, resulting in a better performance. If i use Chrome, something similar happens.
Thank you for reading my post, i will apreciate corrections in my terms and limited knowlegde, any solution suggested and new knowledge provided.
