Hi
a Apple TV would have to be competitively priced and be only a TV for me to look at it. Then Apple would come out every year or so with things to convince buyers to stop using functioning older models and buy the latest model just like they do with their other products. I don't even want a smart TV. Forget all the controlled by Apple features that Apple puts into all their products. They wouldn't be able to resist putting all kinds of non TV functionality into a TV set they sold.

There is a reason I do not have a Ipod, Ipad, Apple phone or computer. They are overpriced and over controlled.

I'm with you on that to be honest. I have never bought an apple product for those very reasons. I have been given apple products as gifts but don't even use them. It is interesting to see if they will venture into that territory however.

Lots of articles today stating this is not new coming from Apple. This goes back at least 6 years and Steve Jobs said they were 'interested' in pursing a TV product line. There are far too many hurdles for Apple to overcome currently to be a viable competitor in the crowded TV market place. Just another case of necromancing subject matter for a slow news day.

The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.
