avira antivirus

When the license of my avira internet security expired, i uninstalled it and tried to install the free version(2013 version). But the installation fails giving an errooe message(error code 5, the file could not be copied ....) The file name and path given varies in different failed attempts. What to do?

Hi, try running their removal tool which will remove registry entries created by Avira. They recommend running this before installing a new version. Be sure to restart your computer after running it.
