Is It Possible To Take A Snippet Of A Music Video....

Hello !

This probably seems to be a odd question but I promise nothing devious is going on. :thumbsup:

I have no idea if this is a possibility but I thought I would ask.

This is what I have in mind. I have a music video saved to my favorites on my computer.

I would like to post a portion of it in a message ( private) on facebook.

Is there a way to only post a portion of the video ?

In other words, I want to just pass on about 15 seconds of the video.

Can this be done ?

No, I have never heard of it.

Is that the route I should take ?

I will Google it and see if I can make heads or tails of it.

Its part of windows and think you download it from microsoft,

also have a look at Videohelp.com a very good site releated to all things video

another program would be virtualdub a free video editor but a bit more complicated

best of luck anyway

OK, I will give it a try. I am very limited in computer knowledge. I thank you for giving me a path to follow. I would not think of troubling you or any others of having to hold my hand ( take your time up ) while I give this a try.

Never used windows movie maker myself but my son swears by it for his basic video editing for youtube

i have used virtualdub and virtualdub mp3 freeze but i only have a limited knowledge of them

If you have a saved file, the freeware Any Video Converter includes a video cropping feature and is really simple to use, if you don't get on with WMM.

It also has a decent Youtube downloader and so much more.
