I am using Windows XP Pro SP3, IE8 and I keep getting the same message over and over. I need to correct part of the window message so here is the whole thing: "Adobe Flash Player Update Service 11.3 r300 has encountered a problem and needs to close". I don't know why because the flash player is updated and I believe is fine. I don't know what to do with it and it is "EAR-A-TATE-ING". Help Thank You :crazy:

Hi -
Can you just click on Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove then look to see what version you do have installed now -

I turned mine on today and got a screen for updating one of the Adobe items, might have been Flash Player, but I needed to wait fot my internet to kick in to install
The reason you get them is because you have clicked to "Have Auto updates installed" or "Tell me when updates are ready to be installed" that is all

I assume it's an Adobe bug that they will correct in time...

I haven't received this message, I'm assuming it's because I have "never check for updates" set in Control Panel>> Flash Player (32 bit)>> Advanced tab.
Or the problem is fixed in 11.3.300.268 (my current ver installed, updated 7/27 -7/28?)
Check version of flash installed: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

As per Union_Thug - Mine is listed the same -
It may have been an error because you already have that version ??

EDIT - Found nothing listed on their site about it ??

Set Update preference & check installed versions (IE & Other Browser) in Flash Player WIndows XP:
Start>> Control Panel>> Add/Remove>> Flash>> Advanced Tab>> Set desired preference

:dance: I have the same problem. My flash version is the latest for my OS (XP-home-32 bit). The version I have is the same as above: 11.3.300.268. I updated just 2 days ago, and this annoying error report keeps popping up. The last time it happened, I was watching a YouTube video. The time before that I was running Microsoft Flight Simulator. I hope it's nothing serious.
