I have a Dell D630 that originally had Windows XP Professional.
I bought it refurbished with Windows 7 64 bit and the seller swears it is genuine copy. I have been using the computer for 5 months and all of a sudden this message appears.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi -
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker! See Below for examples -
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/howtotell/Hardware.aspx

Thank You -

I'm certainly no expert on the matter but it doesn't look good IMHO. Your laptop is a Dell model circa 2007 & the Key is for an Acer/Gateway/Packard Bell  OEM_SLP Keys can only be used on the machine with which they were originally installed.

Google search for Windows Product ID: 00371-OEM-8992671-00004

I bought it refurbished with Windows 7 64 bit and the seller swears >> Up to this part I believe, beyond that .......... ???????
I do tend to generally agree with Union-Thug on most of the output from the test -

?? Licensing Data-->
Software licensing service version: 6.1.7601.17514
File Scan Data-->
File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\sppwinob.dll[Hr = 0x80070002] ??

Please run a full CHKDSK and SFC scan....
type in the Search box
CMD.EXE

Right-click on the only file that is found
Select Run as Administrator
- the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up
At the Command prompt, type

chkdsk /r and hit the Enter key. (note the space between k and /)

You will be told that the drive is locked, and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot.

The chkdsk can take a 1 to 2 hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient, and let all 5 stages finish

After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) -

Then run the SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on the Start button type in the Search box

CMD.EXE

Right-click on the only file that is found Select Run as Administrator - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up

At the Command prompt, type sfc /scannow (note the space between c and /) and hit the Enter key
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.

You can re-post another MGADiag report (as from Post #2) along with details of any error messages encountered.

Thank You -

<<I bought it refurbished with Windows 7 64 bit and the seller swears it is genuine copy.>>

The fact that you claim to be the owner...does not excuse you from any responsibility that might accrue regarding legality of license.

The system appears flagged an illegal...you need to revalidate after a clean install (since Dell didn't install Win 7) or whatever means is feasible.
