Wireless only works in safe mode?

I have been experiencing some very frequent disconnects on my wireless connection that seem to happen regardless of the network that I am connected to (happens at school, coffee shops, and at home)

I get the yellow triangle with an exclamation point and it shows a good signal but no internet access. When I try to troubleshoot the problem it tells me that my wireless adapter is experiencing problems.

It seems now that this occurs during safe mode as well...It was working fine when I had initially posted.

Please run again Miniyoolbox and post List Installed Programs next time and include the computer model also.

Description: \SystemRoot\SysWow64\Drivers\ISODisk.SYS has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver.

Remove isodisk.sys from your system. Check your Firefox network connection: Tools menu - Options - Advanced tab - Network - under Connections click Settings and ticked 'use system proxy settings'. Check windows startup service WLAN autoconfig is in automatic. Also, http://lifehacker.com/5627570/how-to-change-wireless-network-priority-in-windows

Ok, after a reset of cable model and router things seems to be going okay, for now anyways, it always seems to work for a while then stop again. Here is the most recent minitoolbox results when it was not working prior to the router and modem reset. I uninstalled Isodisk but there still seems to be the .sys file lingering, how do I get rid of this?

Also, I had found the status of my adapter as follows under adapter properties

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

Sometimes the adapter disappears completely from device manager, but this time it was visible but disabled and I could not enable it.

Computer model # is U56E-RBL5, ASUS Laptop

You have Avast and Trend Micro Security Installed (outdated? not used?). Let's make sure.
Download SecurityCheck.exe from Here

. Run SecurityCheck and follow the instruction from inside the code box.
. When the scan is finished, a notepad will automatically open as check.txt

It seems installing the driver software did not do the trick. I have completely uninstalled the device and all drivers and then installed the software provided in the link. Connection now is even less stable than before.

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you my connection has been real unstable and I had refused to use an ethernet cable until today. My wired connection works just fine. It seems that the computer goes back and forth between not even being able to recognize the adapter at all and working fine (for very short periods of time.

Here is the latest from mini tookbox when the ethernet cable is unplugged.

Also, when I run windows troubleshooting it says that there might be a problem with the driver for the wireless adapter.

it says the following:

Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter.

Intel Proset wireless is the needed driver. Version 14.1.1.3 is a zip file - WiFi_Intel_/WifiFamily_Win7_64_Z14113.zipHere -> http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=U56E&p=3&s=343&os=30&hashedid=6KBv9FLOCOczEXLJ save the file and extract then install exe file. Uninstall from device manager the network card adapter (right-click, uninstall). Go also to add or remove programs for any intel wifi drivers.

Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter.

See this thread for some reference or similar solution.Check also TrendMicro Internet Security if not already uninstalled. It may also be the source of the problem as checking online on previous users had some disconnection problem after using this antivirus software. The pdf manual for your adpater is found Here. Looking also on part of the Intel PROSet wifi connection utility and WLAN autoconfig for Windows startup service could be clashing as one need to be used only.See page 3 and 4 of manual.

Press Windows+R key and type

services.msc and click ok

Right click on WLAN AutoConfig -Properties-Change the start type to disable

Restart the PC

Wireless service may be conflicting with Intel proset

Ok this seems to be approaching a solution. I disabled Intel's Wireless Zero Service and left WLAN on, this gives me the most stable connection I have had in some time but eventually it still seems to drop. (Seems to drop when I begin loading a new webpage, it will just stall out while loading then the damned yellow ! comes back.)

Earlier today I uninstalled all software and drivers and reinstalled them, and disabled the WLAN (leaving intel's enabled). This left me with no connection what so ever so I did a system restore back to having the Intel Service Disabled.

Also I had to manually uninstall the drivers as the uninstall option simply froze under Device Manager.

Any ideas?

Can you double checked this protection software if it's still installed by add or remove program? Have you tried using the Intel wifi driver win 7 64 bit driver from the Asus support site(see previous link)?

Intel's Wireless Zero Service and left WLAN on, this gives me the most stable connection I have had in some time but eventually it still seems to drop.

I would stay with these settings however maybe some interferences... Do you experience the same problem when connected by wired or on other computers? Can you move closely to the router? Download inSSIDer to check on nearby access points.

Okay so here is the latest...

Wireless worked just fine all through last night until this afternoon, however the laptop was in a stationary position. As soon as I moved the laptop into the dining room (closer to the router). I got the ! yellow triangle and no more internet connection. I then restarted my computer (had to press power button as it was stalling on shut down for some reason as well). Upon restart the wireless card was disabled, after running windows troubleshooting (which reset the adapter), everything is back and working normal again (for now).

I downloaded inSSIDer, but I am not too sure what I am supposed to do with it?
