Have new diagnostic tool for automobiles. When first installed it worked fine. Now in device manager in ports {COM & LPT},Prolific USB to Serial Comm Port {COM4} properties reads "Cannot start" and tells me code 10. I have reinstalled latest driver a few times to no avail. I noticed in my hidden folders in "non plug and play drivers"; the driver called "Serial" has yellow sign slso. In properties its device type is -non plug and play. Its manufacturer is unknown as well as its location. That can be because I dont have that particular device plug in my computer correct?? Trying to give all info I can. Running Wins xp on Toshiba Satellite Pro. I believe my computers specs are here in web site. Could really use some help, I rely on having a scan tool to make my living. Thank you in advance.
