os 10.6.8 on macbook pro
I'd like to delete some files bypassing trash and w/out using terminal. In windows I'd use shift-delete, I think. Googling I read ctrl-del worked on mac and I tried it and it seemed to work, but not on all files. Then I got a message that suggested I was moving files rather than deleting them. I also read that a program such as muCommander was needed.
