Need to remove MyStart from my Windows Internet Explorer. When I use the search function MyStart takes over and performs the search, frequently providing less than optimal results. Have checked the Control Panel function to add and remove programs and MyStart is not listed. Using the search engine page, found reference to Incredimail being the source of MyStart, however Incredimail is not listed in the program files that can be removed. Computer hase XP Home on it.

Hi -
This is one of those pest items that are included with many downloads. Always refuse free toolbars and add-ons -

Download Free Malwarebytes and Free Spybot S&D and Free SuperantiSpyware -

First - Download and update and run Spybot (search for problems) and tick all boxes that show problems, then click Fix problems -
Next - Install SuperAntiSpyware, check for updates and run a quick scan and remove all items found -
Then - Install Malwarebytes, check for updates (usually in download) then run a Quick scan only -

These 3 should remove that program and stop it from running -
Please post back if it still exists, and we can get an expert to help you in the Infected area of the forum -

Thank You -

Thank You -
