Regcure pro

My computer has been extremely slow lately. I ran regcure pro and it found a lot of Active X and DLL issues as well as other issues. Can someone help me get rid of these issues?

Ignore anything Regcure tells you and NEVER use any registry utilities.

Specifically what is slow? Describe your problem IN DETAIL please.

Ok. Internet Explorer is extremely slow loading pages. So i stopped using it and installed google chrome, much better but sometimes hangs. I'll get the inactive notice to kill pages or wait. If i have multiple applications running the system will freeze and i'll go to task manager to end processes. Sometimes i have to reboot to gain control over my pc again.

What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

all devices that are new were recently placed but the issue was already occurring ex. new printer, and new key & mouse, uverse service. new software has been frost wire, kodak share, itunes, printer software, and fooz kids but again all that stuff is new except my kodak software. I updated ie from 6.0 to 8.0 but it still works improperly. I've tried removing software i don't use like microsoft 2007 and adobe reader 9 but it gives me an error message stating that ms 2007 is corrupted use reinstallation disc. Adobe reader can not be deleted.

One more thing, when my McAfee security feature is scanning my pc becomes useless, extremely slow. I reinstalled McAfee last night because for some reason i couldn't open the McAfee program at all.

First of all, McAfee products are worse than useless. You should replace McAfee with ANY other product. Uninstall McAfee then install a different AV and try to run a full scan. What happens?

Since no one sees fit to provide any rationale for antipathy towards Regcure...I suggest that you read the following:

Bleeping Computer DOES NOT recommend the use of registry cleaners/optimizers for several reasons:

• Registry cleaners are extremely powerful applications that can damage the registry by using aggressive cleaning routines and cause your computer to become unbootable.
  
  The Windows registry is a central repository (database) for storing configuration data, user settings and machine-dependent settings, and options for the operating system. It contains information and settings for all hardware, software, users, and preferences. Whenever a user makes changes to settings, file associations, system policies, or installed software, the changes are reflected and stored in this repository. The registry is a crucial component because it is where Windows "remembers" all this information, how it works together, how Windows boots the system and what files it uses when it does. The registry is also a vulnerable subsystem, in that relatively small changes done incorrectly can render the system inoperable. For a more detailed explanation, read Understanding The Registry.
  
• Not all registry cleaners are created equal. There are a number of them available but they do not all work entirely the same way. Each vendor uses different criteria as to what constitutes a "bad entry". Unless you have a particular problem that requires a registry edit to correct it, I would suggest you leave the registry alone. Using registry cleaning tools unnecessarily or incorrectly could lead to disastrous effects on your operating system such as preventing it from ever starting again. For routine use, the benefits to your computer are negligible while the potential risks are great.

I have been using registry editors for over 15 years now and never, ever had a problem with them. I find them 100% completely safe!!! I actually use 3 of them, including Reg Cure and they have never done any damage to my computers (3 of them) If you feel unsafe about doing a repair, all of them will do a reg backup if anything does go wrong and you can roll back your changes if need be. I completely disagree with Allan comments about registry editors but I agree, get rid of McAfee (useless) and would definately stay away from Norton products too!!!!!!! They use to much of your systems resources, ram etc and slow your computer up!! Get a good anti virus, I have been using Eset smart security for about 10 years and swear by it.

Disagree to your heart's content. The fact is that the best registry cleaners (if there is such a thing) will do absolutely nothing beneficial, while the worst will leave your system unusable. And it is the firm position of Bleeping Computer (and most other knowledgeable support sites and users) that they should never be used.

For a start, can you uninstall these programs,

Fooz Kids (Version: 3.1.0)
Fooz Kids Platform (Version: 2.1)
FrostWire 5.2.11 (Version: 5.2.11.0)
Yontoo Layers Runtime 1.10.01 (Version: 1.10.01)

Also check back in the list for programs you rarely use and delete them also

There are many Free Antivirus programs that you can choose from. Personally I would use Microsofy Security Essentials (Free)

Check in Device Manager for any ( ! or ? ) marks that show outdated or faulty drivers -

I use Kaspersky Anti Virus and believe it is one of the best products on the market. As a free alternative I agree with the above recommendation to use MSE (Avira and Avast are two other good free options).
