Hello All, I recently purchased a new computer with the AMD FX8150 CPU. For anyone that does not know, it's AMD's eight core processor. However I do not need 8 cores to run everything. So what I would like to do it set the affinity for everything (OS, Browser, media player, etc...) to cores 1-4, and then whatever applications I specifically choose (Games, Photoshop, etc...) to run on 5-8 so that these programs have 4 cores dedicated only to them.

Does anyone know how I can accomplish this?

Thanks in advance.

Go to Task Manager > Processes Tab

Right-click on any process and select Set Affinity. :thumbup2:

EDIT: For automatic setting of processes, try these:
PriFinitty or Process Lasso.
