ZeroAccess Cleanup - Still no net, help!

Hi all,

I have been in the process of removing ZeroAccess trojan/virus from my machine under the guidance of SweetTech in the Bleepingcomputer Malware Response Team. We have made decent progress in cleaning up any malware on my computer, but it appears that I still can't get back onto the internet after I was previously denied access.

I was asked by The tech to post in this forum to summon the great networking gurus and ask for advice - any would be welcome! THANKS!

That link will reset your TCP/IP protocol to defaults

If so, what is the make/model of it? If it is not, what is the make/model of your motherboard? I assume the NIC on your pc is an onboard NIC. Let me know if that is not the case.

-Once this the download is done, right click on the file and select extract all
-Once the extraction is done, open the extracted folder
-Open the "LAN" folder, then open the "LAN" folder inside of that
-Run setup.exe, not AsusSetup.exe
-Once the install is complete, reboot if necessary
-Cross your fingers and see if you have internet access

When you get your connection restore I recommend downloading http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html This program will prevent Malware from "having fun" with your HOST file. This is a free program but you have to update it periodically however they have auto updater but you have to donate to them but that program works.

Xyklon, please download the drivers for your card and install them. In the log file you posted here Windows is trying to connect through your firewire (1394) port. The log shows your Ethernet controller is present. Please look in device manager tell us if you see any red or yellow exclamation points and what they are listed with. From the start menu go to the run command and type devmgmt.msc.

Still no net after this

Xyklon, please download the drivers for your card and install them. In the log file you posted here Windows is trying to connect through your firewire (1394) port. The log shows your Ethernet controller is present. Please look in device manager tell us if you see any red or yellow exclamation points and what they are listed with. From the start menu go to the run command and type devmgmt.msc.

I only see yellow exclaims next to my:
'Other Devices'
? - Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
? - Unkown Device

In the start menu navigate to "Connect To" then show all connections. Under the heading " Lan or High speed Internet" You should see Local area connection 3, Right click on this connection and click properties. Please list what it says under the heading "this connection uses the following"

Also in the device manager, click view and select Show hidden devices. Are the any items under Non-Plug and Play Drivers that have a yellow exclamation point?
