Problem

I did not install, I did not select check box, still MyStart IncrediBar installed itself when I may have installed some other harmless freeware.
I removed it from Firefox Manage Search Engines but that did not help
I checked Firefox Add-ons but there was no trace of MyStart IncrediBar
I checked Control Panel Programs & Features but no trace of MyStart IncrediBar
I had checked Task Manager Processes, probably deleted it (don't remember) but as of now it is not there
I deleted MyStart IncrediBar cookies using CCleaner
I checked Run msconfig Start-Up but there was no trace of MyStart IncrediBar
I tried about config in Firefox address bar and found many people are battling with this nagging MyStart IncrediBar
Someone at one forum suggested some sure-shot method for Firefox 3 but I could not proceed beyond step 2 (note below) as steps weren't clear to me
Some more people at techguy.org suggested some complex procedures which I couldn't understand well
Someone at CNET forum suggested bleeping computers and I am here

Current Status

MyStart takes over only if search query is typed in address bar of Firefox (as we do in IE9)
MyStart fails to take over if search query is typed in Firefox right-side search box where I have made Google as default search engine

Request

Any simple (understandable without serious tech background) step-by-step solution if one can offer

Thanks for patient hearing

-----------------------------------------

note (as referred to above)

The correct way to get Incredimail Mystart out of Firefox is:
1. At Firefox address bar, enter about:config and press ENTER.
2. At Filter: field, type keyword.url
3. You should see a Preference name of keyword.URL in the list. Double click it, a “Enter String Value” input box will appear.
4. Replace the string with: http://www.google.com.my/search?q= Click “OK” button
For Internet Explorer, you just install Google Toolbar again, and Mystart goes away.
