I wasn't doing anything but watching a video on youtube and I got this pop up

Was it actually unlockforus, or just a similar pop up ?
Those are very sketchy details. Was it a torrent video, a specific video, a porn video, or don't you remember what you were even watching ??

If you are concerned about it being an infection, maybe you could post in the Am I Infected area of the forum.

Hold down the Windows flag and hit the pause key. Look in the lower right corner and see if indicates genuine.

No wasnt actually unlock for us, just wanted to post what it looked like, but it came up, and Ive had my laptop for 3 months now and this is the first time ive seen it. I was watching this video , it was a regular video on some adolescent program no torrent, I try to avoid illegal things lol. Wow and I hit the flag and pause key it says windows is activated then it has this blue thing saying ask for genuine windows software -.- , I bought this from like hsn or qvc and everytime I have never had this issue, so I got jipped?

Sorry for the "heavy questions" at the start, but now with some details we can try to help further. :flowers:

EDIT -Method 3 is always a good quick way to check -

As you purchased it used, these checks should usually be done early to make sure it is a genuine version. Not your fault if you got ripped :(
Some videos do come with advertising inserted and these should be checked with your Antivirus and a scan with Malwarebytes or SUPERAntiSpyware.

Did method 1 and 3 and it came up saying windows was activated... method 1 said activation was successful so... Im thinking it is genuine
