At the same time it is shipping out its first Bulldozer server chips (the 16-core Interlagos), AMD appears to be delaying its roll-out of Bulldozers for the desktop. Previously thought to be due in the next couple of weeks, the Bulldozer desktop chips, code-named Zambezi, have been pushed back at least another month, according to Fudzilla.

If you ask intel, or any intel fanboys, theres no such thing as an AMD CPU that can match a intel CPU. . .

If the Bulldozer processors are faster then the Intel's current Sandy Bridge processors, Intel will fire back with there monster LGA2011 processors. Aren't you a Intel fanboy patriot?

If this thing ever does come out it will most likely be my next processor upgrade, that is if I can get one before they are all gone. That an a new mobo..

It will probably be another year or so before I upgrade. No point in it now since my build was back in April. I don't have the $$$ for a new mobo and CPU right now.

Selling, yes. Making, probably not.

A new iteration would likely be out by then.

Guess you haven't heard of Moore's law

Moore's law describes a long-term trend in the history of computing hardware. The number of transistors that can be placed inexpensively on an integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years.[note 1] This trend has continued for more than half a century and is expected to continue until at least 2015 or 2020.[note 2][4]

You bought a motherboard for a processor that will be antiquated before you can upgrade according to the deal with your mum. At least according to Moore's law. And Moore's law is quite accurate and has been for half a century.

The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.

No that was not the point I was trying to make.

You stated you won't be upgrading until 2014 per a deal with your mum. Yet you have already purchased a motherboard that will facilitate that 2014 upgrade. Moore's law states that processors will double every two years. Your upgrade is 3 years away. Therefore your upgrade in 3 years will not materialize into the upgrade you envision today.

In other words the money you spent on the motherboard could have been saved. Then when you were ready to upgrade as per your agreement. You could buy the upgrade available at it's current level, not one already 3 years old.

The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life.
