Laptop is slow compaq presario v2000

I scanned with malwarebytes, used ccleaner, glary utities, did a defrag, removed many of the autostarting programs. No viruses or spyware , so what is slowing down the computer

What version of Win7 did you install? Did you do a 'clean install'? (the only way to update XP to Win7) Have you updated drivers?
My Compaq Presario V2000 came with XP pro on it.
