I removed the virus with the help of AVG and Malwarebytes.

My desktop background is black.

Every other logical drive is either deleted or invisible. When I reinstalled a program I received a message that it was already installed but I can't see it.

Please help as I need these files and folders back.

Thanks for replying.

Oops! That is a major mistake.

Win 7 Ultimate

Also, the black desktop is only on my user account. The other user accounts have a normal background. No matter what I set the background too, it remains black.

I think you should first try to run this from one account that you can see
To make your files visible again, please download the following program to your desktop:

Unhide.exe

Once the program has been downloaded, double-click on the Unhide.exe icon on your desktop and allow the program to run. This program will remove the +H, or hidden, attribute from all the files on your hard drives. If there are any files that were purposely hidden by you, you will need to hide them again after this tool is run.
