It may be useful especially for some smaller screens users, or for those who don't like too many toolbars, like myself.

I moved all items from "Navigation bar" to "Menu bar":

and then, I disabled "Navigation bar" altogether:

One less bar, more display space :)

To save space too, I did this:

c) Remove the Firefox/Swiftfox menubar and replace it with a single icon, by using the Compact Menu add-on.

FireFox 4
I don't use the Menu much and can use keyboard shortcuts for most things I need so I went about it a bit differently.
I also use the Bookmarks Keyword feature a lot, every bookmark that I use frequently has a keyword.

On the Bookmarks toolbar I put only my six most used bookmarks and changed their name to two or three letters.
I added two folders to the Bookmarks toolbar called WK (work) and ME (personal) and put quite often used bookmarks in those folders.
I went to Customize and dragged the Bookmarks Toolbar Items to the Navigation toolbar where there is also AdBlock+ and Flashblock icons.
Then I hid the Menu and Bookmarks toolbars, the Bookmarks icon has also appeared on the Navigation bar now.
So there are only three 'bars' now, the top bar (Close etc and FireFox Menu button) the Navigation toolbar and Tabs

I need my space! :P

I just toggle F11 :)

and this

I remember trying to customize the toolbar back when I first installed Firefox, but never noticed the drag and drop method of customization. Thanks for the tip! :thumbup2:

Umm... can you tell me how you did this, exactly? There IS a lot of wasted space on the menu bar and I would love to know how you did this. Thanks!

Right click on any empty space in any of FF bars (tab bar will do), click "Customize".
Keep that pop-up window open and at the same time you'll be able to drag all items from "Navigation bar" to "Menu bar".
When done, click on "Done" button on "Customize" pop-up window.

Next, right click again on any empty space in any of FF bars (tab bar will do) and UN-check "Navigation bar".
Done.
