Flash was working untill quite a while ago. I got a prompt to install flash 10.1 so i agreed to it and the installation failed. So I went to the help site that they provided.
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html
and have doen everything but it still will not install. The error message says "The ActiveX control for Flash Player could not be registered. Please visit the following link for troubleshooting tips: Link."
At the bottom of the page there is a picture with my error. It also shows.
"Error 1032: [PATH TO FLASH PLAYER] [WINDOWS ERROR CODE]: The Flash Player ActiveX control could not be registered.

Cause: ActiveX was not able to register.

Remedy: User should verify that they have write permissions to all of the Flash Player registry entries below.*"

Why Hello -
I did try the Uninstall feature first - When I say I've done everything, I meant it - I even did it again... I downloaded the uninstaller, closed everything that was open, went into task manager and closed everything under the processes under the USER tab with my user name, other than explorer.exe of course, and ran the uninstaller. After, I restarted, went to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, installed the flash player. It gets to 100% but then it comes up with an error reading "Error: Installation failed." (http://i36.servimg.com/u/f36/11/16/88/81/untitl10.jpg)

Thank You -

Edit 7/3/2010
It appears that I can install it for FIrefox just fine but installign it for IE will be harder.
