Hi
Hope you can help. I got a virus and it had disabled my admin controls, logging me off immediately after logging in.
I removed the drive, put it in an enclosure and have copied all my important files.
When I re-install in in the machine as an F: drive (slave) it tells me the drive is dirty and goes through a checkdisk process. It gets as far as 2% in the 2nd of 3 operations and goes no further.
Is there a way to run ComboFix on an external drive to help rid the machine of the virus.
I have already run Malwarebytes (loggged) & Superantispyware (logged) as per the fixes on MajorGeeks.com I am trying to run ComboFix but it just runs on the C: drive.
Hope someone can lead me in the right direction.
Thanks
phsh
