(Try to solve it if you are smart)
let us start..
if you were in a jungle..alone
and you were stucking inside a net and this net is holded by a robe on the top of a tree
at the end of the rope there was a candle..
but there was a lion is waiting for you to fall so he can eat you..

what would you do..to prevent that lion from eating you

Shoot it?

Have to agree with patriot09; shoot it, except wait until it is directly under you.
That way, when the candle burns through the rope, you'll have something soft to land on.

I'll assume the following:

I have no gun.
I have no knife.
One end of the rope is tied to a branch.
The candle is on the branch side.
Other end of the rope is tied to the net that I am stuck in.
I can protrude my arms through the gaps in the net.

1. If the candle is not lit then it poses no threat. Therefore, I can hawl myself up the rope whilst still inside the net, sit on the branch and wait for the lion to give up waiting for his most deliciously high protein meal.

2. If the candle is lit, then when it has burnt through rope. I will fall. But since I started near the top of the tree, I expect there will be many branches below so will grab onto one
of them before reaching the ground.

3. Alternatively, if it is a lioness, I could pursuade her that eating me will make her very unhealthy and overweight as I am very high in calories with 27% fat content and complement her current shape.

That was fun...

Assuming you are in Africa

1) Africa is made up of grasslands.
2) The African lion's habitat is the grasslands.
3) Africa does have jungles, but they are located in South Africa, well out of the lions natural territory and habitat.
4) Jungles and heavy forests don't contain the prey lions are after.

Lions do not live in jungles or heavy forests. Therefore, the lion in your jungle is lost and needs to go back home.

Tell the lion it's his birthday.. And after you sing Happy birthday to him hecan make a wish and blow out the candle.

Of course your still stuck in the net and will eventually starve to death. The lion will eventually leave and give up.. Hence you were not eaten by the lion.

I would cut two holes in the net with my handy-dandy pocket knife, stick my hands through and climb the rope up to the tree branch. Once there, I would finish getting out of the net, then reshape it to entangle the tiger. I would cut the rope from the net and wax it with the candle found near the rope end to ease its use in the trees. I would toss the net on the tiger, then swing through the trees until out of the tiger's territory.

The candle, you see, wasn't lit.

Lol at the handy dandy pocket knife Orange Blossom. I know that lions are big cats and like to mark territory so I would send the lion packing by peeing on it, as I would be so scared I would have pee'd myself anyway. :D Hopefully the lion would think I was marking my territory and leave

Nothing in your post indicated that there was a "right" answer.

Smart people have responded with what THEY would do, therefore the answers are NOT wrong, and has been solved. Each person has solved it in a different way.

And I won't say what I would do because I'd be in a jungle where there were no lions and that situation simply would not happen.

On second thought, I wouldn't be in the jungle-I'd be at home, doing something wonderful like teaching a 2 year to potty train and learn colors and watching Handy Manny, Elmo, Wonder Pets, and Pooh with her. I'd be having a good time with her, laughing with her and at her when she does something funny while y'all are trying to figure a way out.

Now to reveal the answer. At least the answer I learned in 3rd or 4th grade when I first heard this.
