Hi there,

Not a problem at all. smile.gif

Go to start -> control panel -> Display properties -> Desktop -> Customize Desktop... -> Web tab, then uncheck and delete everything you find in there (except for "My current home page"),

Also remove the checkmark from the the Lock Desktop Items box if it is checked.
Apply.
Apply and Exit Display properties.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from one of these places:
http://www.malwarebytes.org
http://www.besttechie.net/mbam/mbam-setup.exe

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Please also let me know how it's running now. smile.gif

Thanks,
tea

Hello,

That's excellent, and you're welcome. thumbup2.gif Is your Norton AntiVirus up to date? I don't see it running in your services, and there should be a lot more entries for it.

Let me know how you come out when you're done checking things. smile.gif

Hello,

If you aren't going to use it anymore, then please do this to be sure all the bits are removed : The Norton uninstall tool uninstalls ALL Norton 2004/2005/2006/2007/2008/2009 products from your computer. It also uninstalls Norton Ghost 10.0/9.0/2003. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...005033108162039

AVG, Avira OR Avast are good FREE antivirus. I have used all 3 of them. I think Avira is my favorite, but they are all 3 good. smile.gif
