Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to convert a sound file such as an mp3 to a midi or qcelp for use as a ringtone.

Thanks

I think Audacity can do that. If it can't, try Media-Convert.

Multi-Destiny,
Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately Audacity cannot do it at this point ( I use Audacity )

I checked with Media-Convert and found no MIDI or QCELP

Hi, ".QCP" is the QCELP format.

I just tried it using ringtuna.com and it worked! Tip - don't use "Normalize" with QCELP, as the compression won't handle it well and it will sound more distorted (QCELP is low enough quality in the first place).
