I just bought this adapter, and when I put the CD in and clicked on "Check for Updates," I got the following message:
"ERROR: Could not read control file on NETGEAR server."

What does this mean, and what should I do about it, if anything?

Thanks!

Download an updated software directly from their website and place it on a flash drive. Then install from there.

Can you tell me what that error is caused by, though?

BUMP. Also, would this apply for trying to upgrade firmware for the router as well? My router cannot connect to their servers.

OK I cannot find anywhere on the netgear website that lets you upgrade firmware. What am I missing?
