Hi, thanks for the reply.

Basically whenever i'm surfing, watching something off my hard drive, listening to music, playing a game, the system locks up and the speakers repeat whatever noise was being put through the speakers. Something like a CD "skipping", but from accessing files, not discs.

It's also pretty slow online, at first spybot was detecting the registry changes, but now it doesn't even find them. I'm fairly certain something is still wrong. Here's the new HJT log, thanks for the help in advance.

You have AVG7 and Avast4 installed.
Its not a good idea to have more than one antivirus program installed on your computer.
Each program may interpret the actions of the other as viral, therefore giving you false virus warnings about virus-related activities.
It could also lead to system slowdowns and other problems within the operating system, due to the two conflicting with each other.
You should uninstall one of them now, then restart your pc.

Please disable Spybot S&D’s protection,or it will interfere.
You can enable it after you're clean.

Open Spybot and click on 'Mode' and check 'Advanced Mode'.
Click on 'Tools' in bottom left hand corner.
Click on the 'System Startup' icon.
Uncheck 'Teatimer' box and/or uncheck 'Resident'.
Click the 'Allow Change' box.
Then, check next to the computer clock to see if the icon for Spybot is still there.
If it is, right click it and choose 'exit Spybot-S&D Resident'.
Restart the computer.
If you find you're experiencing problems disabling Spybot's Tea-Timer,follow the info in the link below:
http://www.russelltexas.com/malware/teatimer.htm

Please follow the instructions in the link below for the downloading and running of ComboFix:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix
This also includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not got it installed.
Post the log from ComboFix when you've finished, along with a new HijackThis log please.

Ok, uninstalled avast, disabled tea timer and resident, started combofix and left the room for about 15 minutes, when i come back my system is booting up....and i get no log, just a message saying combofix can't find a file. I assume i was infected and thats why it rebooted, but I don't know why the log isn't even where it's supposed to be...any idea as to how to recover it? Or should I run it again? Sorry, I guess...

On the bright side, my computer seems to be running a bit better. Here's the HJT log.

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.
Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing:
O3 - Toolbar: Comcast Toolbar - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-93BE-BE2DF4D9AE29} - (no file)

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
* Close all other windows before proceeding.
* Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
* When it has finished, DSS will open two Notepads: main.txt and extra.txt
* Use Save As to save both Notepad files to your Desktop and post them in your next reply.

Should i leave this av on here? Or could u recommend another? Just asking.

I suggest you leave it installed, its one of the best freeware antivirus applications out there.

Your log is clean  ,please do the following:

Please download OTMoveIt by OldTimer:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/oldtimer/OTMoveIt2.exe
Save it to your desktop.
Please double-click OTMoveIt.exe to run it.
Click on the 'Cleanup' button Posted Image
When you do this a text file named cleanup.txt will be downloaded from the internet.
If you get a warning from your firewall or other security programs regarding OTMoveIt attempting to contact the internet you should allow it to do so.
When the 'Confirm' box appears click 'Yes'.
Restart your pc when prompted.
