I also tried to install another antivirus after deleting Avast - but NO OTHER ANTIVIRUS WORKS!!!

Please find below my log file.
Please help me. Thank you

Hello mary,

I am SifuMike and I will be helping you. Sorry for the delay. We have many logs backed up.

but I always get the same error message: CAN'T FIND ASHAVAST.EXE FILE.
I also tried to install another antivirus after deleting Avast - but NO OTHER ANTIVIRUS WORKS!!!

You should not be deleting AVAST, but uninstalling it.

Try uninstalling Avast and then reinstalling it.
Click on start, then control panel, and then double-click on add/remove programs.
From within add/remove program uninstall the following (if they exist) by double-clicking on the following entry:
AVAST

If AVAST still does not work, then download the HostsXpert Here
http://www.funkytoad.com/download/HostsXpert.zip

Unzip HostsXpert to your desktop

Open up the HostsXpert program.

* Make sure that the "make hosts writable?" button in the upper left corner is enabled.
* Click back up Host files
* then click "Restore MS Hosts File"
* close program

Now try downloading and installing AVAST.

If you still can get AVAST to work then download the free
AVG antivirus or
AntiVir
