I know that it is best to only use 1 antivirus program, 1 firewall and 1 antispyware program as using more than one may cause conflicts.

My question is that is it okay to use Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security with real time protection (no firewall) with Spybot resident?

The reason I'm asking this is that i think that trend Micro is both a anti-virus and anti-spyware program in one, and i think Spybot is an anti-spyware program. So is this using both okay?

Also, i am using Comodo Firewall (Pro 3.0.2.5 Alpha). It says that it has Windows Security Center Integration, that is Windows XP SP2 recognizes Comodo Firewall Pro. Does this mean i can use both Windows firewall and Comodo? Or should i only use Comodo?

Actually, Should use One AV ,One Firewall (so use Comodo it's way stronger and monitors traffic in and out) and several layers of spy/adware protection. You can use one software firewall (Comodo) and a hardware (router) together.
I use With my AV and Comodo Superantispyware,spywareblaster, spybot and adaware SE
You can use all of those I mentioned together and the ones you've combined.

Okay, coolness. Will disable Windows firewall and use Comodo instead.

From now on i will use Trend Micro, Spybot, Adaware, Spywareblaster and Spyware guard

I don't know Trend-Micro. But be on the lookout for possible conflict with real-time Spybot protection (Teatimer). If the computer is slow or you get too many conflicts where one wants to change something and the other doesn't allow, turn off real-time in Spybot.

Okay. I will turnoff Spybot resident, but still use Spybot regularly to scan my computer.

Hi ..not to give you a headache but Tos226 was making a suggestive warning. I don't have TM either but if the teatimer works ,causing no slow downs or conflicts, I'd use it, as it a good funtion.

Lmao. I am a bit confused. But i'm glad lots of people are willing to give me advise on what to do.

I will use tea timer then, but if for some reason someone out there thinks i shouldn't, i'd appreciate it if you tell me

There may be reasons not to use it, but the first time you have Spybot S&D slam the door shut on a malware you will see why so many love it. Including me.

Yep.
I know what you mean. I love Spybot!

But my query was regarding the resident function of Spybot- i always use Spybot to scan to scan my computer.

But the problem is that i did already disable windows firewall, but the popup is happens.....even tho Comodo is enabled!

Was an reply posted by accident. I attempted to remove it but it seems you can't....

I have decided not to use the resident function of Spybot, to avoid any conflicts with other programs
