Can anyone help me solve the problem of keeping the Auto-Protect turned on as I am still having problems, having already asked Norton support people to help, and following their proceedures but not achieving a satisfactory result. Basically I have all Green lights when I start up my computer then after about five minutes, or less, the Red light comes up on Auto-Protect. Even changing the boxes in Advance Settings to Turn Auto-Protect on does not work.

Symantec is really a bunk company now days, having top of the line protection like AVG, kasersky avast etc. they are all free, why would you even use Symantec, system hog and not as secure as people think ;)

It seems that many people are experiencing similar problems to you with Norton 360. Two other things you can try are:

1. Uninstall Windows Defender if you have it. Apparently they conflict with each other.
2. Another suggestion I read was to defrag your hard drive. I have no idea why this should make any difference but it's worth a try.
