hey i looked in my system config and found a startup program called dumprep 0 -k.. the command is "%systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k"
Is this a safe program, can it be removed and what is it used for?
Thanks

When a program crashes, or a system error occurs, Windows launches the dumprep program which writes the details of the encountered error to a text file. This text file can then be diagnosed by MS, or other 3rd party technical support companies, for the problem that caused it.
There is no reason to keep this running and you can remove this entry.
